This development is not related to the injury that caused Jones to miss the final 14 games of the 2025 season. The team intends to handle his recovery with a week-to-week approach to ensure proper management. In his absence, the Panthers will rely on a rotation featuring Jaelan Phillips, Princely Umanmielen, Trevis Gipson, Thomas Incoom, and Jeremiah Moon.
