Panthers place DL LaBryan Ray on reserve/retired list

The Carolina Panthers have placed defensive lineman LaBryan Ray on the reserve/retired list ahead of the Hall of Fame Game against the Arizona Cardinals. Ray, who played 46 games for the Panthers over the past three seasons, recorded 73 tackles and a sack during that time. The decision means he will miss all remaining preseason games. The Panthers also announced the signing of wide receivers Roc Taylor and Elijah Cooks, while Gabriel Benyard and Ainias Smith were waived, leaving one roster spot open.
