Pape Cabral rejects transfer from AS Monaco to Al-Ahli

AS Monaco midfielder Pape Cabral has declined a potential transfer to Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli. The 19-year-old was linked to a deal worth more than €10 million before the move stalled due to a change of sporting directors. Although AS Monaco were initially open to the sale to raise club funds, the academy product will remain with the team. Cabral recently signed a contract extension with the Principality club during the summer. Despite being considered a potential breakthrough player for the squad managed by Filipe Luís, he has yet to make an appearance this season. The club has accepted his decision to stay at the Stade Louis II.
