Parents allege fraud in Saratoga Raptors youth basketball program

Parents in upstate New York have accused Norbert A. Sygdziak of fraud related to the Saratoga Raptors travel basketball program. Parents paid fees up to $1,000 for their children to join, expecting to receive uniforms and participate in tournaments. While the children practiced for about a month, no tournaments materialized and uniforms were never delivered. Following complaints, the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office charged Sygdziak with multiple counts of grand larceny and scheme to defraud. Sygdziak disputes the allegations, claiming the program provided substantial practice sessions.
