Paris FC midfielder Pablo Pagis joins France provisional squad for Nations League

Paris FC attacking midfielder Pablo Pagis has been included in the extended squad selected by Zinédine Zidane for his debut as manager of the French national team. The 23-year-old moved to Paris FC this summer from FC Lorient in a transfer deal valued at approximately €15m. Since joining his new club, Pagis has recorded one assist across three appearances. The player previously tallied 10 goals and five assists in 28 Ligue 1 matches during his time at FC Lorient. While Pagis never featured for any French youth international squads, his current form has positioned him for a potential senior team debut. Zinédine Zidane is expected to release the final roster on September 18 ahead of four upcoming Nations League group stage matches.
