Parma has officially transferred Australian international Alessandro Circati to Benfica for a reported fee of €18 million, plus an additional €2 million in performance-related bonuses. The deal was completed earlier this week, and Circati underwent medical tests in Portugal before signing a contract lasting until June 2031. The 22-year-old defender had previously made 96 appearances for Parma, scoring twice and providing three assists. He switched to represent Australia at the senior level in 2023 and was part of the Socceroos squad at the 2026 World Cup earlier this summer.
