Patrick Cantlay withdraws from 2026 Wyndham Championship

Patrick Cantlay has officially withdrawn from the 2026 Wyndham Championship, becoming the fifth player to do so since the field announcement. Cantlay recently tied for eighth at the Rocket Classic, marking his fourth top 10 and ninth top 25 finish this season. While he is currently 41st in the FedEx Cup Playoffs standings and secured a spot in the upcoming FedEx St. Jude Championship, he will not participate in the Wyndham. Other players, including Kristoffer Reitan, Dan Brown, and Michael Thorbjornsen, have also withdrawn from the event, contributing to a changing tournament field at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina.
