Patrick Mahomes expected to be ready for opening game against Broncos

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is expected to be ready for the season opener against the Denver Broncos, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. With training camp starting this weekend at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri, the focus will be on Mahomes' recovery and effectiveness. While he may not be at full health, Schefter stated that any percentage of Mahomes remains a better option than most quarterbacks. The Chiefs are enhancing their roster to support Mahomes, including the addition of Kenneth Walker III and Eric Bieniemy as offensive coordinator to bolster the ground game.
