Patrick Mahomes signs groundbreaking contract with Kansas City Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes has agreed to a two-year extension with the Kansas City Chiefs, making him the first NFL player with a contract worth over $500 million. This agreement brings his guaranteed earnings to $504.75 million, tying him to the franchise until 2033. Previously, Mahomes had a 10-year deal worth $450 million with additional incentives. The deal surpasses Dak Prescott's $60 million annual contract, making Mahomes the highest-paid player in NFL history. Following a season-ending ACL injury last December, Mahomes expressed excitement for his future with the team and remaining competitive.
