Patriots add Chandler Brayboy and Xavier Holmes to practice squad

The New England Patriots signed receiver Chandler Brayboy and linebacker Xavier Holmes to their practice squad ahead of the 2026 home opener. Brayboy, previously with the Jacksonville Jaguars, had an impressive college career but was waived before the season. Holmes joined the Patriots after a tryout and was among the roster cuts following the preseason. To accommodate these additions, running back Hassan Haskins and safety Elliott Davison were released from the practice squad.
