Patriots add linebacker Darius Muasau and shape practice squad roster

The Patriots claimed linebacker Darius Muasau and tight end Cameron Latu off waivers on Monday following the initial 53-man roster assembly. To accommodate the addition of Muasau, the team released veteran linebacker K.J. Britt. New England also established its practice squad, signing wide receiver Kyle Dixon, offensive guard Jake Kubas, linebacker Riley Wilson, center Jacob Ritzy, defensive tackle Eric Gregory, running back Hassan Haskins, punter Mitch Wishnowsky, tackle Lorenz Metz, and defensive tackle Jeremiah Pharms. These moves follow a period of waiver wire activity that saw cornerback Marcellus Dial depart for the Miami Dolphins. The adjustments aim to address depth concerns across the offensive line and linebacker corps heading into the start of the 2026 season.
