Patriots consider trade for Giants edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux

The New England Patriots are reportedly exploring a trade with the New York Giants to acquire edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux. According to ESPN's Dan Graziano, the Patriots would send a 2027 fifth-round pick in exchange for Thibodeaux, who has been mentioned in trade rumors following the Giants' drafting of two defensive players in recent years. Thibodeaux was selected fifth overall in the 2022 NFL Draft but has struggled to meet expectations. Last season, he recorded 25 tackles and 2.5 sacks, while his best performance came in 2023 with 50 tackles and 11.5 sacks. The Patriots still seek defensive improvements ahead of training camp.
