Patriots elevate Lan Larison and Mitch Wishnowsky for opener against Seahawks

The New England Patriots have elevated running back Lan Larison and punter Mitch Wishnowsky from their practice squad ahead of Wednesday night’s season opener against the Seattle Seahawks. Larison joins the active roster to bolster the backfield in the absence of TreVeyon Henderson, who is sidelined with an ankle injury. He joins Rhamondre Stevenson and Corey Kiner for the contest in Seattle. Wishnowsky takes the place of Bryce Baringer, who currently sits on the injured reserve list. Both players are scheduled to revert to the practice squad immediately following the conclusion of the game. Larison returns to the organization after spending last season on injured reserve and clearing waivers at the end of August.
