Patriots linebacker Chad Muma faces potential roster cut before deadline

Chad Muma, once a leading candidate for a backup linebacker position with the New England Patriots, is now in jeopardy of being cut. Muma entered training camp as the preferred choice but has seen his standing decline following lackluster preseason performances and injury interruptions. Other players, including K.J. Britt and rookies Khalil Jacobs and Namdi Obiazor, are emerging as contenders for roster spots. The Patriots need to finalize their 53-man roster by August 30, allowing Muma a final chance to secure his position in the upcoming preseason finale.
