Patriots place TE Julian Hill on injured reserve
Summary

The New England Patriots placed tight end Julian Hill on injured reserve on June 1, 2026, due to an undisclosed injury. Hill, who signed a three-year, $15 million deal this offseason, was expected to replace Austin Hooper after Hooper’s departure to the Falcons. His placement on IR means he cannot play this season unless released, a move considered unlikely. Rookie Eli Raridon is now poised to take on a larger role in the Patriots' tight end unit.
