Patriots place Terrell Jennings on injured reserve, add two running backs

The New England Patriots have placed running back Terrell Jennings on injured reserve ahead of their preseason opener against the Indianapolis Colts at Gillette Stadium. Jennings, who has been with the team since 2024, will miss the upcoming season, resulting in a reshuffling of the backfield. The Patriots recently added running backs Hassan Haskins and JaMycal Hasty to the roster, leaving Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson as the top options. Additional backfield changes include rookie Myles Montgomery being placed on injured reserve following an injury designation. The changes come as the Patriots prepare for their kickoff at 7:30 p.m. ET.
