Patriots pursue trade for Giants edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux

The New England Patriots are considering a trade proposal from ESPN that would bring edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux from the New York Giants. Thibodeaux, a former first-round pick, had a challenging season with 2.5 sacks in 10 games last year. Acquiring him could enhance the Patriots' defensive line, particularly as they look to improve following their recent Super Bowl appearance. The proposed deal includes a 2027 third-round pick going to the Giants in exchange for Thibodeaux and a fifth-round pick. If Thibodeaux performs well, he could lead the Patriots’ defense and also generate a compensatory pick if he leaves in free agency after the season.
