The New England Patriots announced roster changes on Thursday, signing safety Elliott Davison to the practice squad. In a corresponding move, the team released defensive tackle Jalen Hunt. Hunt had joined the organization just two days earlier on September 1. Davison enters the Patriots system after previously spending time with the New Orleans Saints, where he was a member of their practice squad during the 2025 season. He also participated in training camp with the Saints this summer before his release on August 30. The Patriots continue to evaluate depth at the safety position, which currently features starters Kevin Byard and Craig Woodson alongside Jaylen Reed and Dell Pettus on the active roster. Hunt, who played college football at Cincinnati and Michigan State, previously spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars in April.
