Patriots tight end Eli Raridon scores first touchdown of 2026 NFL season

New England Patriots rookie tight end Eli Raridon recorded the first touchdown of the 2026 NFL season during Wednesday night's game against the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field. With 9:11 remaining in the second quarter, quarterback Drake Maye connected with the third-round draft pick on a 2-yard scoring pass. The play capped a 10-play, 77-yard drive that featured a 34-yard defensive pass interference penalty against Seattle cornerback Josh Jobe. Raridon, a Notre Dame product selected 95th overall, secured his first career NFL reception for the touchdown. The scoring drive also included a 6-yard scramble from Maye and receptions by A.J. Brown and DeMario Douglas. The Patriots lead the defending Super Bowl champions in the early stages of the season opener.
