Patriots waive Myles Montgomery, sign Hassan Haskins ahead of preseason opener

The New England Patriots announced roster changes on August 12, ahead of their preseason opener against the Indianapolis Colts. The team waived running back Myles Montgomery, who was signed as an undrafted free agent and had a successful collegiate career with 705 rushing yards last season. In his place, the Patriots signed Hassan Haskins, a former fourth-round draft pick who has recorded 47 rushing yards in his last season with the Los Angeles Chargers. Haskins joins a running back group led by Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson, gearing up for their first preseason game on August 13.
