Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte faces uncertainty after A.J. Brown trade

Summary

The New England Patriots traded for A.J. Brown, impacting wide receiver Kayshon Boutte's role as he enters the last year of his contract. With Boutte's target share dropping from 68 in 2024 to 46 in 2025, the addition of Brown and Romeo Doubs could further diminish his opportunities. Patriots coach Mike Vrabel acknowledged Boutte's development but indicated that a trade for Boutte, likely yielding a fifth or sixth-round draft pick, could be a consideration if his situation does not improve.
