Paul Rowley resigns as St Helens head coach ahead of Wigan match

Paul Rowley has resigned as head coach of St Helens effective immediately, just under a year into his tenure. This decision comes as the team currently sits in sixth place in the Super League, with only two points separating them from Hull KR, who have a game in hand. St Helens recently suffered a heavy 46-0 defeat to Toulouse and were beaten 32-0 by Wigan in the Challenge Cup semi-finals. Assistant coach Eamon O'Carroll will take over coaching responsibilities ahead of St Helens' upcoming match against Wigan Warriors on Friday.
