Penei Sewell ranks as NFL's top player under 25, survey shows

Penei Sewell of the Detroit Lions has been named the best player in the NFL aged 25 and younger in a recent survey conducted by The Athletic. Since being drafted seventh overall in 2021, Sewell has established himself as a premier offensive lineman, making four consecutive Pro Bowls and earning three first-team All-Pro selections. At only 25 years old, he recently signed a four-year contract worth $112 million with the Lions. The survey evaluated players with at least one season of experience, with Sewell outperforming other young stars such as Jalen Carter and Brock Bowers.
