At the 2026 NHL Entry Draft held today, the Pittsburgh Penguins selected right wing Liam Ruck with the 22nd overall pick. Ruck played for the Medicine Hat Tigers in the WHL, where he recorded 45 goals and 104 points in 68 games last season. He will play for Medicine Hat again next season before joining the University of North Dakota in 2027-28. Liam's twin brother, Markus, also performed strongly in the WHL, tallying 21 goals and 108 points. The draft continues tomorrow with additional rounds.
