Penguins trade Emil Pieniniemi to Panthers for Oliver Okuliar

The Pittsburgh Penguins traded forward prospect Emil Pieniniemi to the Florida Panthers on June 13. In exchange, the Penguins received forward Oliver Okuliar. Pieniniemi, who struggled to make progress with the Penguins after being drafted in 2023, faced challenges early in the season, including a suspension. He played 35 games this season, totaling 14 points. Okuliar, 26, has spent his career playing in Europe, recently scoring 29 points in 46 games for Skelleftea AIK in Sweden. The trade is viewed as a minor reshuffling of players.
