Penn State defensive end Max Granville misses remainder of 2026 season

Penn State defensive end Max Granville will miss the remainder of the 2026 season due to an injury sustained during practice. Head coach Matt Campbell confirmed the status of the redshirt sophomore following the team's victory against Temple on September 12. Granville previously appeared in the season opener against Marshall but did not participate in the win over Temple. The Sugar Land, Texas, native missed the entire 2025 season with an injury and was previously named to the preseason Comeback Player of the Year Watch List. Campbell described Granville as a key leader for the program over the last nine months. The team currently plans for Granville to recover following this latest setback.
