Penn State football ranked No. 17 in preseason Coaches' Poll

Penn State football is ranked No. 17 in the preseason Coaches’ Poll released today. This marks the first time since 2022 that the Nittany Lions will begin the season outside the top 10. Eight teams from the Big Ten Conference, including Ohio State at No. 1 and Oregon at No. 2, appear in the rankings. Defending national champion Indiana is positioned at No. 6. Among Penn State’s 2026 opponents, USC is ranked No. 14, Michigan No. 16, and Washington No. 19. The preseason rankings reflect the competitive of college football as the season approaches.
