Pensacola State College opens new soccer complex for women's soccer team

Pensacola State College held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new $5.7 million soccer complex on September 3. The 6.7-acre facility, located at the intersection of Underwood and Tippin avenues, features a natural turf NCAA regulation-sized field, lighting, and seating for 280 spectators. The college's women's soccer team played its first home game at the site immediately following the opening event against Northeast Community College. While this marks the program's first true on-campus home, officials noted that game volume will be limited this year to allow the grass field to mature. Phase 2 of construction, which includes dressing rooms and a press box, is scheduled to begin this fall.
