Peyton Bonds was selected 90th overall by the San Francisco Giants in the third round of the 2026 MLB Draft on July 11. A right-handed outfielder, Bonds played two seasons at Rutgers after starring in high school. He had a strong 2026 season, hitting.352 with six home runs and 29 RBI in 36 games. This makes him the first Scarlet Knight chosen in this draft, raising Rutgers' total selections to 12 since 2022.
