The PGA Tour has announced a second event for its 2028 Championship Series, scheduled for July 29-Aug. 1 at Silverado Resort in Napa, California. This follows the earlier announcement of the first Championship Series event, the Travelers Championship. The new competitive model will feature 23 to 24 events, including major championships and new venues. Sponsorship agreements, such as one with Sompo, are nearing completion as the Tour prepares to implement its changes. The full event schedule is expected to be released in late January 2028.
