Phil Jones linked with move to Sheffield United coaching staff
Summary

Phil Jones, the former Manchester United defender, may join Sheffield United's backroom staff. Currently a coach at Blackburn Rovers, Jones faces uncertainty due to the return of head coach Tony Mowbray, who will shape his own coaching team. Sheffield United is looking to strengthen after their 2025/26 Championship campaign ended in 13th place. The club is undergoing internal changes in its coaching staff, with Chris Wilder potentially bringing Jones on board as assistant. Jones had a 12-year playing career at Manchester United and transitioned into coaching after retiring in 2024.
