Phil Pressey returns as Maine Celtics coach for 2026-27 season

Phil Pressey will continue as head coach of the Maine Celtics for the upcoming 2026-27 G League season. After a mixed regular season record of 18-18 and a strong showing in the Tip-Off Tournament, Pressey's team made the playoffs but lost in the first round to the Greensboro Swarm. He assumed the coaching role with the Maine franchise at the start of the 2025-26 season, following experience as an assistant coach with the Boston Celtics. Pressey, a former Celtics player, aims to build on his inaugural season's performance as he prepares for the new season starting this fall.
