Phillies and Twins will use traditional umpiring at Field of Dreams Game

The Philadelphia Phillies and Minnesota Twins are set to face off in the Field of Dreams Game in Dyersville, Iowa, on August 13, 2026. This special matchup will not feature the Automatic Balls and Strikes (ABS) system, as it is not implemented at neutral or non-standard sites. Both teams were informed ahead of time that the game will adhere to traditional umpiring, meaning that any missed calls by umpires will not be subject to review. This decision comes as part of MLB's regulations for games not held in one of its 30 home stadiums.
