Phillies consider Jarren Duran as trade option if Buxton unavailable
Summary

The Philadelphia Phillies, facing a weakened outfield after Adolis Garcia's injury, are exploring trade options. With Byron Buxton possibly remaining with the Minnesota Twins due to his no-trade clause, the Phillies may shift focus to Boston Red Sox All-Star Jarren Duran. Although Duran is seen as a secondary target, he is under club control through 2028, providing some strategic advantage. Despite his potential, concerns remain regarding Duran's performance this season, with a batting average of.199 and only 12 homers. The Phillies will need to assess their options carefully, balancing Duran’s control against his current struggles.
