Phillies consider trading for Mike Trout after missing deadline deals
Summary

The Philadelphia Phillies are contemplating a trade for Mike Trout from the Los Angeles Angels following their failure to acquire pitcher Tarik Skubal before the deadline. Though Trout has experienced a decline in performance and faces injury challenges, he still boasts a.391 on-base percentage and 18 home runs this season. The Phillies are in search of offensive reinforcements, particularly in the outfield, to bolster their lineup. Despite Trout's loyalty to the Angels and high contract demands, speculation surrounds the team's interest as they aim to enhance their postseason potential.
