Phillies' Ken Rosenthal suggests trading Bryce Harper or Kyle Schwarber

The Philadelphia Phillies, recently eliminated from the MLB Playoffs by the Atlanta Braves, are considering potential trades for either Bryce Harper or Kyle Schwarber, according to MLB insider Ken Rosenthal. Rosenthal emphasizes that while the idea merits discussion, executing such trades could be complex due to Harper's long-term contract and Schwarber's restricted role as a designated hitter. Philadelphia's management faces challenges moving established players who have considerable value to the team. The franchise continues to maneuver through a coaching transition after firing Rob Thomson and hiring Don Mattingly, who may not return for the 2027 season.
