Phillies place Adolis García on 60-day IL, promote Gabriel Rincones Jr

Adolis García of the Philadelphia Phillies has been placed on the 60-day injured list due to a right lat tear, the team announced on June 12, 2026. García suffered the injury during a throw to the plate in a game against the Toronto Blue Jays. In response, the Phillies have called up prospect Gabriel Rincones Jr. from Triple-A Lehigh Valley, who could make his MLB debut against the Milwaukee Brewers. Additionally, the Phillies acquired veteran outfielder Derek Hill from the Chicago White Sox, expected to fill in as needed in the outfield.
