Phillies place Rafael Marchan on injured list and promote Payton Henry

The Philadelphia Phillies placed catcher Rafael Marchan on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to July 23, due to left knee patellar tendinitis. To fill his spot on the roster, the team promoted Payton Henry from Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Marchan's injury adds to the Phillies' catcher situation, as Garrett Stubbs is also on the IL. Henry, a 29-year-old catcher previously with the Miami Marlins and New York Yankees, will back up J.T. Realmuto for the upcoming games.
