Phillies rally with eight runs in ninth inning against Nationals

The Philadelphia Phillies scored eight runs in the ninth inning to defeat the Washington Nationals 14-9 on June 24. Trailing 8-6 heading into the ninth, Brandon Marsh tied the game with a two-run homer before Bryson Stott hit a three-run shot to cap the rally. J.T. Realmuto and Edmundo Sosa also contributed significantly, with Sosa driving in five runs. The Nationals had taken an 8-6 lead after a three-run homer from Jorbit Vivas in the eighth inning. Orion Kerkering earned the win despite giving up three runs in the final frame. Philadelphia's Aaron Nola is set to pitch in the next game of the series against Washington's Miles Mikolas.
