The Philadelphia Phillies have released infielder Liover Peguero from their minor league affiliate, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, on August 4. Peguero, a 25-year-old veteran who played four seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates, has spent time on the injury list this season.
