Phillips named North MVP at North-South basketball classic

Jeremy Phillips, a recent graduate from Frankfort, earned Most Valuable Player honors for the North team during the 37th North-South Boys Basketball Classic held at the South Charleston Community Center. He scored a team-high 22 points. The South team, led by Harrison Riggs with 23 points, prevailed with a score of 126-81, marking South's 30th win in 37 games. In the accompanying girls all-star game, the South defeated North 80-78, with Della Knight from Hampshire contributing 12 points for the North team. Phillips plans to play for Frostburg State next year after this performance.
