Philo defeats Maysville, shares MVL title as Lincicome ties coaching record

Philo earned a share of the Muskingum Valley League Big School Division title with a 27-13 win over Maysville on October 23. The victory marked head coach Dirk Lincicome's 106th career win, tying him with Sam Hatfield. A strong running game led by Slade Sprankle, who rushed for 261 yards and four touchdowns, contributed significantly to Philo's success. The Electrics' defense was pivotal, forcing three turnovers and limiting Maysville's opportunities. With this win, Philo finishes with a 4-1 league record alongside Sheridan and Tri-Valley, both of whom also secured titles. Playoff pairings will be announced soon, providing Lincicome a chance to break the record next week.
