The Phoenix Mercury announced on August 3 that they have signed rookie forward Marta Suarez for the remainder of the season. Suarez, who was selected 16th overall by the Seattle Storm in the 2026 WNBA Draft, was traded to the Mercury by the Golden State Valkyries shortly after the draft. She has averaged 4.0 points and 1.4 rebounds in 11 games played this season. The signing follows a series of contracts extending from a developmental agreement and three seven-day contracts since her initial release by the Mercury on July 9.
