Phoenix Suns prepare for critical decisions ahead of NBA free agency

Summary

The Phoenix Suns are approaching a challenging free agency period set to begin on June 30. With a tight salary cap, the franchise aims to retain key free agents Collin Gillespie and Jordan Goodwin while ensuring long-term financial flexibility. General manager Brian Gregory is navigating decisions regarding player contracts, including Jamaree Bouyea's option and Haywood Highsmith's non-guaranteed deal. The Suns currently have significant dead cap space due to Bradley Beal's departure, adding complexity to their financial situation. Prioritizing internal growth around Devin Booker, the Suns must strike a balance between maintaining their 44-win roster and fiscal responsibility as they prepare for the upcoming NBA Draft.
