Photographer Michael Zagaris begins his 54th season with the San Francisco 49ers

Michael Zagaris is entering his 54th season as an official photographer for the San Francisco 49ers. His association with the franchise spans over half a century, originating from his early efforts to access Kezar Stadium as a teenager with self-made credentials. In 1979, Zagaris secured a role with the organization under head coach Bill Walsh, modeled after the official photography standards of the White House. Throughout his career, he has documented several generations of players and multiple Super Bowl victories. Now 81, Zagaris continues to travel with the team, recently joining them for a season-opening game in Australia. He maintains his active role within the franchise, noting that he intends to continue his work as the team pursues a sixth Super Bowl title.
