Pine Bush lost to Lancaster 4-3 in a 12-inning marathon during the state Class AAA softball championship held at Grand Slam Park in Binghamton on June 13. Pine Bush managed a late-game rally that included a run that was later overturned, and despite multiple opportunities to score, could not secure the lead in extra innings. Lancaster reclaimed the title, having also been the defending champion. Pine Bush finished the season with a 20-4 record, while Lancaster improved to 16-5.
