Pine Bush lost to Lancaster 4-3 in a 12-inning marathon during the state Class AAA softball championship held at Grand Slam Park in Binghamton on June 13. Lancaster reclaimed the title, having also been the defending champion. Pine Bush finished the season with a 20-4 record, while Lancaster improved to 16-5.
