Pirates activate Horwitz from IL; Doval joins roster ahead of Reds game

The Pittsburgh Pirates have reinstated first baseman Spencer Horwitz from the 10-day injured list prior to their game against the Cincinnati Reds. Horwitz returns after a left hamstring strain and a delayed recovery due to a concussion. To make space, the Pirates optioned outfielder Billy Cook to Triple-A Indianapolis. Additionally, right-hander Camilo Doval, acquired from the Yankees, has been activated for the game. Doval has a 4.54 ERA over 44 appearances this season.
