The Pittsburgh Pirates plan to welcome back Konnor Griffin in about three weeks, with a tentative return date of September 4. Griffin has been on the 60-day injured list due to a left ring finger injury sustained on July 5. The team expressed optimism about his recovery, as he is progressing ahead of schedule and has been cleared to resume baseball activities. Senior Director of Sports Medicine Todd Tomczyk confirmed Griffin's transition out of splints and into more active drills, including gripping a bat and wearing a glove.
