Pirates secure 7-1 victory over Nationals in Washington

The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Washington Nationals 7-1 on July 4. Braxton Ashcraft won his fourth straight start, allowing one run and six hits in 5 2/3 innings while striking out seven. Konnor Griffin scored a run after stealing home in the first inning.
