Piscataway edges West Orange with late field goal in football playoff

In the North 1 Group 5 sectional semifinal on November 6, Piscataway defeated West Orange 38-35 thanks to a last-second 29-yard field goal by Patrick Novak. The third-seeded Chiefs, who had a 14-point lead in the third quarter, faced a comeback from the Mountaineers, who tied the game late. Following an interception, Piscataway advanced into scoring position, where Novak secured the victory. Piscataway will face fourth-seeded Irvington in the sectional final next weekend.
